February is American Heart Month

As the nation is celebrating American Heart Month throughout the month of February, Life Source Hospice would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge and thank the medical professionals and paraprofessionals for the care they provide to cardiac patients throughout our service area. 

Hospice care is appropriate for patients with end-stage cardiac conditions, including congestive heart failure (CHF), if the patient meets the admission criteria set forth by Medicare and Medicaid.

Life Source Hospice will provide medication and therapies for symptom management to help keep the patient comfortable. An individualized plan-of-care will be coordinated based on the patient’s specific needs, but many times this includes supplemental Oxygen (O₂) which, unlike home health benefits, is provided with no out-of-pocket expense.
